Billing

K2 Dermatology Clinic is contracted with the following insurance companies:

If you have an HMO plan or if your insurance company is not listed here, please contact your insurance company directly to determine if K2 Dermatology Clinic is “in network” with your plan.

Additionally, in response to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) many of the above listed insurance companies have developed “narrow network” insurance plans where they have carved out a limited number of providers in a geographic area. As the name implies these narrow networks do not include all providers that currently hold contracts with the insurance company. It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that our clinic is truly “in-network.” Failure to do so will result in the insurance claim being denied payment by the insurance company. This will shift the entire fiscal burden for the appointment onto the patient. We seek to avoid this type of confusion if at all possible.

Although we are “in-network” with your insurance company, it remains the patient’s responsibility to know all guidelines, limitations, and deductibles set forth by their insurance company. It is best for the patient to review their insurance contract before seeing any medical provider to avoid incurring unexpected costs.
